First Flights

Congratulations!

First flights can be overwhelming. It's easy to get overloaded trying to break-in a new engine, test out a new airframe and learn a new aircraft and it's systems all at once. I have over 1000 hours of flight time in the RV family of aircraft, with extensive experience with latest glass cockpit avionics like the Dynon Skyview and Garmin G3X systems. Let me help take some of the pressure off of you. We'll utilize the FAA's Additional Pilot Program during your first flight, which allows a qualified pilot to accompany you on your initial test flights.

We'll work together to perform:

Thorough pre-flight inspection
Ensure all engine alarms are configured
Ground test engine for leaks and proper idle mixture
Develop a test profile for the initial flight
Fly the test profile with you
Monitor your engine parameters
Note any anomalies or issues
